| Mandatory Requirements: | For training dress appropriately – this means on cold days dress warmly and on wet days have rain gear and a change of clothes. Wear boots with studs preferably, not blades. |

| | For matches players wear the Ratoath RFC Kit. Players should not wear tracksuit bottoms for matches. |

Under 10 Rugby
This age group caters for children born in 2002. The focus at this level is fun and enjoyment as well as progressing to more competitive rugby. Skill development in match situations is what we aim to achieve in training. Players will learn positional roles such as hooker, front row, scrum half and winger, as well as the functions of set pieces such as the ruck, scrum and line-out.
Matches
All matches this year are non-competitive as per IRFU regulations. The idea is to have players play as many matches as possible and to learn to enjoy the game of rugby. We will have matches most weekends and are entered in 2 leagues.
We play
Full contact 8-a-side matches. There are 3 man scrums and 3 man line-outs which are uncontested. Match ball is a size 3 ball. Coaches remain on the pitch with the team for most matches.
