| CHILD WELFARE |
Your child's welfare is the most important factor for you when planning their extra-curricular activities,
and is also the most important factor for Ratoath RFC in the running of our club.
When registering with Ratoath RFC for the first time, all players and parents are required to sign up to the IRFU
Code of Conduct.
Once your child joins the club, they will come under the care of club personnel.
Coaches and Volunteers having direct responsibility for your children have:
- received training on Child Welfare
- received training on Coaching from the Leinster Branch of hte IRFU
- signed up to the IRFU Code of Conduct for Coaches
- been subject to a Garda Vetting check
Ratoath RFC's Child Welfare Officer is Ann Jones. Ann's role is to
- Act at all times in the best interests of Age Grade Players
- Understand the IRFU Codes of Conduct and
Ethics, the IRFU
Child Welfare Policy, and the IRFU
Guidelines For Best Practice in Clubs
- Ensure the club sets out to adhere to Codes, Policy, and Guidelines
- Be the contact person in the club for the Statutory Authorities regarding Child Welfare
