| CLUB COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER |
We are delighted to have the services of Darren Kenna as our Club Community Rugby Officer.
Darren has played mini rugby at Coolmine RFC, and Schools rugby at Belvedere College where he won the Leinster Schools Senior Cup in 2005,
this led to Leinster u19 honours. He played at u21 level with Clontarf RFC before rejoining Coolmine RFC where he currently plays his rugby.
He has developed his coaching skills by working with Leinster Branch in their academy and summer camps.
Ratoath RFC views the role of C.C.R.O as an integral role within the club.
The role of the C.C.R.O is to promote the game of rugby to a wider audience that may never experience the game, in the Ratoath,
Dunshaughlin & Dunboyne area and surrounds, through local schools and in particular at Ratoath RFC.
Ratoath RFC and the Leinster Branch fund this programme jointly, our C.C.R.O works with the Regional Development Office to develop the game.
Darren is currently building on the excellent work of James Fay who previously held the C.C.R.O position with the introduction and
coaching of Tag rugby into a number of primary schools & supporting curriculum based rugby modules in post primary schools.
We are delighted with the support and encouragement Ratoath RFC have received from the Principals and teachers in all the participating
schools and we look forward to working with them in the future.
